Description
Deliciously sweet and gooey crispy rice treats made with peanut butter, butterscotch, and chocolate.
Ingredients

- 6 cups crispy rice cereal
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup over medium heat until bubbling gently. Stir until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and mix in peanut butter until smooth.
- Fold in the rice cereal gently until fully coated.
- Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Melt butterscotch chips in the microwave (about 30 seconds) and pour over the first layer, then sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Spoon remaining cereal mixture on top, pressing down lightly.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of salt or some vanilla extract to the mixture.
- These treats can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
