- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 fresh red chili peppers, sliced (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by dicing the chicken thighs, mincing the garlic, and washing the basil.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and sliced chili peppers; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add diced chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar; simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Fold in fresh basil until wilted (about 30 seconds).
- Serve immediately over jasmine rice or alongside stir-fried noodles.
